Novel stats

Did 500 words — have to go start the day job. Need to start on time today — otherwise I think I’d stay and write another 500.

Also — GIP! It snowed here last night — probably 6″ of really wet snow. It came down in huge flakes. This morning all the trees and bushes are completely coated with white stuff. Instead of exercising, I went out and took pictures (one of the reasons why I have to start the day job on time — I’m going to quit early and workout this afternoon.) But I needed to be outside in the quite and still of the morning, to take pictures of stark tree branches coated in snow. It was a kind of mini-artist date — the kind of thing I need to do to fill my soul so I can keep writing. There were a couple of other pictures that would have worked as icons, but I liked this one the best.

I must admit that I’ve been in much better spirits this week, for longer periods of time. I think it’s because I’m writing again. Haven’t quite found that groove yet, am still finding it difficult to concentrate at first, but I dithered for less time this morning, so I feel like I’m making progress.

Uhmmm – I think that’s all the rambling I have for today. Except that while I’m upset that Anwar went home before Scott (WTF??) I’m not surprised that he’s gone. Anwar was so fabulous the first two weeks. Then he just went boring and downhill.

  1. Ah, it’s good that the muse is waking up and smiling at you again.

Here’s to better moods and long writing sessions! (And I so envy you snow…wet…I fear our lovely rain is over for another ten years of drought, sigh.)

    1. Thanks for the good wishes. It feels lovely to be writing again.

We also need the snow and wetness. But it isn’t going to be enough — it’s been so dry — we’re going to continue to be in drought ourselves for the foreseeable future.
