hi there

Yeah, I’ve been hiding. RL have been, well, interesting, I guess you could say.

Am writing on the novel again, have finished the interlude, and have started the next chapter. Am hoping to start the word count again soon.

Though I plan on updating here more, I have no idea if I actually will or not.

In writing news:

— CAVES got a lovely review in the Historic Novels Review (put out by the Historic Novels Society).

— I’m doing a reading on April 2nd for a fund raiser for the local Zonta Organization. It will be at the Ivinson Mansion in Laramie at 3 P.M. The Zonta club is also having a tea, and books will be for sale.

— I’m doing a reading at Second Story bookstore in Laramie on the first Friday of May, May 6th. Yes, this is part of the gallery walk that happens the first Friday of every month in downtown Laramie. (Look ma — culture!)

— I’m attending WisCon at the end of May. Yay WisCon! I’m really looking forward to it this year. I’ll be leading one of the novel workshops before the con, as always.

— I’ve filled out the paperwork — now all I have to do is mail off the registration form for Dragon*Con.

— I’m still undecided about WFC — but chances are, I won’t be going. I might be in Japan instead. . .

— I’d still like to go to CA sometime this summer, see friends, do a reading or two. We’ll see what works out.

        1. I’ll be arriving in Mpls on Saturday, May 21st. I’ll be heading to WisCon on Thursday, May 26th. So sometime that week works for me. . .

          1. sundat brubch-ish afternoon gab fest or tuesday eve gab fest? keep in mind that assuming i’m still in the current job, i won’t be home on tuesday until about 8 p.m.

  1. Glad to hear the writing is happening. Congrats on the review! And on landing the readings. I hope they go wonderfully–nourish you, and sell books.

I hope you go to WFC. It would be great to see you there. OTOH…Japan! Woo!

    1. Thanks! I’m really undecided at this point about WFC. I mean, I’ve gone every year for *years* and I would like to go. But if I only just got back from Japan, I’m not sure I’d be up for it. We’ll see. It’s still a few months off. . .

  3. Bleh, I’m so sad that I can’t make WisCon this year! (In my case, going to China mid-May ’til August). Trying to make up my mind about WFC–Madison happens to be close to family, so it’s convenient…but it certainly wasn’t as fun w/o you last year and wouldn’t be this year, I’m guessing…Still, as others have said–Japan!
