This morning was a good session. The writing prompt was “Writing about an evening meal.” I ended up continuing the Alice and Tom story, where she asks him for his help. It was writing, not just words.

Woke up *tired* this morning. I’d set an alarm so I would have plenty of time to write if I really got into something (instead of just sleeping until I woke up.) Writing more than 30 minutes turned out to be wishful thinking on my part. I’m exhausted. Am going back to bed after this
Managed two hours this morning. It wasn’t as intense as yesterday’s session and I’m not as exhausted. I’m not still completely in story land either, like I was yesterday, just *out* of it for hours and hours. I slowed down a lot more this morning, doing more plotting and planning as I went along. The
Wow. I think I love Saturdays. I think I’m particularly in love with having all the time in the world to write. I wrote for 90 minutes straight, dragged along by the story in a way I only kind of vaguely remember. I’m exhausted, but in that really good way that comes after an outpouring
The daily writing practice continues (I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s more practice than exercise.) I was a bit frustrated with it this morning. I think I need to change how I’m approaching it.

Okay — I lied about yesterday. Last night I finally started to feel better, so I did that day’s exercise.
No writing exercise today, I’m afraid. I got a burrito from the place just down the street last night, then spent most of the rest of the night purging it from my system. Am taking the day off — from work, from writing, from everything. Hope ya’ll are doing well though!
