As Melissa pointed out — I hadn’t made a “Hi! I made it!” post.
So — Hi! I made it!
The walk was intense. I’m glad I did it. I’m never doing it again. Not because it was hard, but because it took too much time away from my writing. But I’m really glad I did it. And I think I can bring more realism to characters who walk great distances. Because, dude, it takes a lot. I was walking with great foot wear, wonderful support crew, regular planned stops, easily available food, water, energy drinks, etc. Doing it without all these things? I can barely imagine it.
I’m sure I’ll post more later about it. I’m relieved that it’s over — glad to have my life back (in more ways than one — the day job has calmed down again as well.) Am getting back into the novel rewrites. I still plan on finishing by the end of September and sending it to the agent.
Many, many thanks to one and all who donated, supported and cheered me on this incredible walk. I appreciate each and every one of you. I may be pinging you later for your snail mail address. I will make my own holiday cards again this winter, and I want to be sure to send some to you as well.
::random hugs:;

You did a very, very good thing. Which I’m sure you know, but still…
Thank you.

wooo hoooooooo!!
Nice going! Glad you could do it. Maybe by next year you’ll forget how tough it was. Now, write smug and satisfied!
Yay, I’m glad it was a good experience.
