I wrote the first 1000 words of the next chapter, chapter 11. Felt really good. I love the conflict that’s about to come up. I stopped even though I knew exactly what is going to happen next. This will make it fairly easy to just slide into writing again. — I was thinking about writing

I finished typing up chapter ten tonight. I had a bad scene in that chapter, and I knew it when I wrote it. But tonight, I dropped it and wrote a new scene instead. The chapter is a little short, but I’m not worried. Total typed word count for the novel so far: Either tomorrow
I was at Norwescon this weekend. I was impressed by the level of conversations generated by the panels I attended. I had a great time, met lots of new people. When I wasn’t attending panels, I was generally in the bar, or in the Green Room, hanging out with people.
