I haven’t read LJ in about a week, my place is a mess, I have no food in the house, etc. There are a million things for me to do. So I’m posting to LJ, of course!
The following are some pictures I took with my phone while I was in Mpls visiting my family. As is the lovely new icon.
Enjoy!
Kelsey, Ella and Maddy
Kelsey is my niece, on Joyce’s side. Ella and Maddy are grand-nieces. Ella is almost 2 1/2, Maddy is 4 weeks. |

Wes, Jack, Ella and the player piano
My father refinished player pianos for a while. (Yes, I learned that year as well.) All three of us kids got one for Christmas that year. My brother kept his. Jack is a grand-nephew, about 2 1/2 years old here. |

Tiffany lamp
This lamp hung in the dining room of my childhood home all my life. It now hangs in my brother’s kitchen. I love this lamp. It’s found the perfect home. The light from it is mellow and warm. |

Dad’s ashes
Because we go for high class all the way, we currently have my dad’s ashes stored in a cardboard box. *G* Because my dad was a veteran, he received a flag with his cremation. |
 |
Truck!
The toy truck is actually Jack’s. This is a neighbor (friend of my nephew’s) playing on it. |
 |
Stress lab 2
I took this while in the hospital. It just struck me as funny — not just one but two labs for causing stress. (I know it isn’t causal, but for studying the effects of stress on the heart, but still. . .) |
 |
Kids!
Ella, Maddy and Charlotte all in the red wagon. We’d tried to get Jack to join them, but he wasn’t about to sit still. |

You have so many cute little baby nieces and nephews. Cute!
ps I have your parking pass to give back. Let me know when a good time to stop by would be or if I should just give you a ring and wander over if convinent.
They are *very* cute. So much fun to hang out with as well. My nieces and nephews are raising their kids as they’d been raised — that is, as *people*, not as children. It makes all the difference in the world.
As for the parking pass — I’ll be at Thursday tea tonight for a while. Tomorrow night is crack night if you’re going. Or just call and see if I’m around sometime.

awwww. will little red wagons ever go out of style? i suspect not. a hundred years from now people will be whizzing around in anti-gravity boots, and somewhere someone’s kid is going to be towing her kid brother around in a little red wagon.
I think you’re absolutely right — little red wagons *never* go out of style!
The last picture makes me want to cuddle all the babies.
