I didn’t do as much writing this weekend as I’d wanted to — I only ended up with about 5000 words. But in addition to that, I also typed about 5000 words, so it wasn’t a total waste. That brings the total of new words for the month to 24,000. I wanted to do 30,000. I don’t think I’ll make it. But I think I did really very well, considering that there was a week there when I wasn’t writing (being in CA for the day job) as well as a con.
Today, I’m sick. Not a horribly bad cold, but bad enough that I’m sneezing and brain-dead. No writing today, I’m afraid. Hopefully tomorrow though. In the meanwhile, I have episodes of Dexter to watch. As well as Babylon 5.
In other exciting news, I just received my contributor’s copies of Dark Arts, an anthology of horror stories edited by John Pelan. I can’t tell you when I sold this story — seems like ages and ages ago — quite possibly back in the 90s. I’m happy to see it in print finally.
Ugh. I’m going back to bed for a nap. I hope ya’ll are having a lovely week. There was snow here (yes, in Seattle.) I drove through a lot of it with the lovely schnaucl, to the Bare Naked Ladies’ concert. The snow was mostly stopped by the time the concert was over, which made for a much better drive home. The concert was really fun, though I wish I’d felt better and could have enjoyed it more.
Ooo, cool! I want to see that anthology.
Got two copies sitting right here if you want to borrow one. . .
Also? It’s snowing again. I just walked to the co-op to get some OJ and realized that it wasn’t raindrops falling on my head as I walked back.
