The wheel turns

Today is my last day with Oracle/PeopleSoft. I’m sad, relieved, happy — just a whole bunch of things.

This post is mostly for those who might be checking out my blog (LJ) for the first time. Welcome! There is a lot of blather about the most recent novel here, and not much else I’m afraid. But feel free to read and comment. (There are also several notices about meeting for tea on Tuesday.)

Also, I am participating in the 3-day breast cancer walk this September. 20 miles a day for three days — yes, 60 miles total. If you’re interested in donating, please click here.

So get yourself a cup of the beverage of your choice and stay a while. Let me know how things are going for you! What are your weekend plans? What are you working on passionately right now?

  1. Hi Leah! Sorry (glad?) to hear about Oracle. I know when you give much of your time and life to a company, it’s hard to walk away without mixed feelings. I just spent a bunch of time at your website. Loved the photos. Does your Mike have an LJ, too?

It’s Friday but this is now my weekend so I’m vegging today. I think the only productive thing I’ll do is go buy office supplies…oh, and scour the bathroom. Other than that, I plan to nap, finish reading “Brooklyn Follies” and EAT whatever tempts me.

I’m passionately working on finding out more about blood donations and all of the related things that are now so relevant to me because of my new job. And I’m passionate about playing Solitaire. *smile*

    Have a great weekend.

    1. It was difficult to walk away after 9 years. But it was time — past time, actually.

My Mike and I are no longer together. He does have his own blog, though, and an LJ feed. is the LJ.

I hope that you had a great weekend. I sure did. And I’ve been working a lot on the rewrites for the new novel.
