My life in a nutshell:
The holidays were *fantastic*. Fun and full of warmth and love and the best I’ve had in a long, long time.
When I came back to Seattle I came down with the stomach flu. Ended up not going anywhere for New Year’s eve.
Then the day job started with its craziness. 10+ hour days, working through weekends, etc. Will continue like this until Jan 19th for certain, with milder craziness through the 31st.
Have been doing lots of thinking, plotting and planning on the novel — it’s a good break from the other stuff.
In other news — menopause sucks. Really. I *hate* feeling as though I’m being ambushed (and held captive) by my emotions once a month. Have made an appointment to go see someone about this because feeling this badly is just wrong.
Hope ya’ll are well and happy. Hopefully I’ll start updating this LJ on a regular basis again come February.
::random hugs and smooches::
Ooh. Menopause sucks. Low-dose birth control pills have been shown to be effective for some women, depending on the stage they’re in. Hope your doctor finds something that works for you.
Hang in there with work. *hugs*
Yeah, do follow through on the sucky parts of menopause. It may take time to find what works for you, so don’t be discouraged. The other side is great!
EEK. I knew you were busy, but 10 hour days? Plus weekends? THAT IS NOT OKAY.

Omega-3 Oil!
It works good! I buy the Omega Twin oil with extra lignum (sp?) and take a spoonful every morning chased down with orange juice. (Many omega-3 oils taste fishy but not this — it’s made with flax and borage.) I’m a couple of years into menopause and not many problems, certainly nothing I’ve taken to a doctor yet. AND the omega-3 makes your joints supple (I can really tell in my yoga classes) and builds your immune system so I have had NO colds or flu or anything since starting it.
And good that your holiday was a great one!
