Rustycon?

Can anyone tell me anything about Rustycon? It’s going on in Seattle next weekend. I’m tempted to go just to see Rob Alexander — we used to be friends but have fallen out of contact.

In other news, I’m still sick. Blah. Better today, but still not 100%. I don’t know if I’m going to be well enough to write this weekend or not. I did start having thoughts about the novel yesterday, just before I fell asleep for my nap, which means my brain is starting to work again. But I still feel like shit.

At least VH1 is still showing the ANTM mega-marathon.

  1. poor leah. trapped in a tv world she did not make!

don’t you have enough energy to toss in a dvd of “the princess bride”? *hugs* someone needs to come by to pinch your cheeks and read to you. too bad i can’t. bleh.

    1. I actually have very few DVDs. And of course, this had to happen when all my netflix DVDs weren’t here.

And damn it! Where are our teleporters! I wish you could be here to read to me or bring me chicken soup or something. I need more OJ as well. . . *sigh*

  2. I make it over to Rustycon some years. I’m not altogether sure how to describe it, other than to call it low-density. It can definitely be fun, though.

    1. It sounded like it would be more of a relax-a-con than a high intensity con. I may just stop by next Saturday for part of the day. We’ll see how I’m feeling.

And it was fun chatting with you last night!

    1. I haven’t decided for certain if I’m going or not. I’ve lost this last week to being sick, and so I might just find myself too busy to do anything next weekend. Would be nice to see you though. . .

  5. Dunno about Rustycon, though I’ve been wanting to get there. But I was wanting to know something else. I’m pretty sure that you keep in touch with Lyda. I haven’t seen her for like four, maybe five years. Wow. That long. She and Shawn were going through something awful at that point. I know things have improved greatly since then and I just wanted to see how she was. You can tell her I picked up the Tate Hallaway book today–been looking forward to it. Sales on that been going well? I hope so.

    Gotta run.

    1. Lyda is doing well, and I believe her sales are going well.

She has an LJ that she updates semi-frequently — . You might want to stop by and say “hi” yourself.

Hope all is going well with you.
