As some of you may or may not know, one of the decisions I came to while in NOLA was that I would buy a house when I came back to Seattle.
HOUSE ACHIEVED.
Yes, it went quickly. It was the first house I saw. (I bought my condo the same way.) I came back on May 5th — not even two weeks have passed. I’ve already had the inspection and the house passed with flying colors.
I anticipate LOTS of house talk in the next few months. I will be having a painting party toward the end of June. Next year, if it’s possible, I’d like to host a Clarion West Friday night party.
And now, for the most important part — Pictures!
Living room. Original blue tile around the fireplace. Beautifully refinished original oak floors. Built-in cabinets around the fireplace, with leaded glass windows above them. Not seen — another beautiful matching leaded glass window overlooking the street.
Again, beautiful floors and the leaded glass windows. High wainscoting.

All appliances are new. Cabinets aren’t original to the house — but are old, re-purposed from Second Use, all mahogany with brass and red enamel pulls, very retro and cool.

The backyard is AMAZING. Seriously. It has a deck, a built-in fire pit, as well as moss-covered rocks, Japanese maples and bamboo, as well as other great plants. It’s SO PRETTY.

The owners re-purposed other types of cabinets to create these pieces, all covered in amazing marble. Every bathroom sink is similar (3 sinks.)

The entire upstairs/attic has been turned into the master bedroom suite. It is also amazing. Hard to photograph, though, as it’s several rooms. One room was turned into a walk-in closet. I can’t even describe how fabulous it is.

There’s a studio apartment in the basement. It has a kitchenette, with a built-in hot plate, a sink, a bathroom and a separate entrance. The floor is new tile. It’s a great space, that opens up out to the garden. I am going to turn it into a vacation rental, I believe.

Thanks for some quality points there. I am kind of new to online , so I printed this off to put in my file, any better way to go about keeping track of it then printing?
