I kept meaning to post again yesterday, but never quite made it.

After my initial 2500 words, I took a break, including a long nap. But my brain kept writing, and pushing, and I finally realized that I had to keep writing, that I was recovered enough from my slight cold to keep writing.

So I did.

I finished chapter 16 yesterday, approximately 5600 words. Today I start the last chapter, chapter 17. I may or may not finish it today — I have a sneaking suspicion it isn’t 5000 words, as it’s more of an epilogue. It is a good 3000 at least, though, maybe 4000, so we’ll see.

I’m so close I can taste it. Couldn’t sleep last night because I kept thinking about it. Woke up early this morning sans alarm because I had to get started.

Also, as part of “writing in the new year” I typed up the first 1000 words on chapter 13. It was smoother than I thought, which is a good thing.
