Kate Major, one of my Clarion classmates (Clarion West, 1997) died the evening of December 1st, after a long struggle with cancer (she’d been diagnosed in the spring.) It was not unexpected and she knew what was happening. Her daughter was with her at the end, and her mother and son and sister had been at her side earlier in the day.
I am still cycling in my own mourning, have been at a low point for the last couple of days, and right now all I can think about is that another daughter has lost her mother.
My thoughts and best wishes for Kate’s family.
Hugs.

Hugs and single malt.
You wore a happy mien when we talked, and I’m hoping my call didn’t contribute to a low cycle. New blows don’t get any easier, though I guess you’ve learned by now you will get through it. It still sucks. More hugs.
Hugs for you. I’m sorry to hear you’re having such a tough time lately.
How awful. I’m shocked.
Hugs to you, Leah. I hope the end of the year brings a diminuation of grief.

Recommendation
Hold your husband close, and be grateful for your time on this earth with him.
(Works for other intimates, too.)

P.S.: And yet more hugs.
