There’s actually been progress — just didn’t post.
Tuesday I didn’t write — didn’t have time between sleeping late and physical therapy at 8 AM and a meeting for the day job at 9:30.
I did do a lot of writing on both yesterday and today (Wednesday and Thursday) — about 400 new words per day, with a lot of rewriting, so it’s difficult to judge how many new word there actually are.…
Not a lot to report this morning — just 100 words or so. But did more polishing on chapter 1. Most of the new words were for chapter 2, which also got some polishing. Chapter 2 is really short — more like an interlude than a real chapter — so I’m thinking I’ll start rewriting chapter 3 next.…
Added another 400 words to chapter one, plus a ton of rewriting. I am very pleased with what I’ve done, how the novel is progressing again.
I took myself out to breakfast this morning and spent a lot of time journalling about the novel.…
Yeap — still working on the novel. Everyday since Wednesday so far.
So today — 500 words added to Chapter 1, with lots of rewriting of the existing words as well.
I’m seeing so many problems in the first draft. For example, I need to do more rewriting to Chapter 1 — the end isn’t quite right yet.…
