Sunday I moved all my stuff into the new house. It’s nice having all my stuff in the same place, for the first time since October of last year. Most of what I’m unpacking I look at and think, “Cool! I’m so glad that’s still in my life!”…
I signed all of the paperwork for the house last Friday. The sellers sign on Monday, funds are supposed to be released on Wednesday, and I’ll get keys on Thursday. I’m taking next Friday off from the day job — not off work, because I will be working on the house.…
As some of you may or may not know, one of the decisions I came to while in NOLA was that I would buy a house when I came back to Seattle.
HOUSE ACHIEVED.
Yes, it went quickly. It was the first house I saw. (I bought my condo the same way.) I came back on May 5th — not even two weeks have passed. I’ve already had the inspection and the house passed with flying colors.
I anticipate LOTS of house talk in the next few months. I will be having a painting party toward the end of June. Next year, if it’s possible, I’d like to host a Clarion West Friday night party.
