Actually, two things. Kind of.

In March of 2023 I started a knitting project, basically, a blanket. The pattern is kind of like a quilt. (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/modular-knit-quilt) I finished it recently. However, I didn’t make it exactly like the pattern.

The original has all six squares sewn together for one blanket. Instead, I did two blankets, one that’s just two squares and one that’s the remaining four squares.

The smaller one is a lap blanket that I put over my legs when I’m writing. It’s the perfect size and I love it.

I’ve been using the bigger one when I’ve been sitting in TH2. I’ve also used it on my bed, before it was finished, when we had no heat. It’s heavy and warm and I adore it.

Now, it’s time to get back to the sweater I started for my husband. He’s been really patient about it. It’s kind of a pain to work on, but I think it’ll be easier now that my eyes are better.

I need to either fix a scarf that I knit, or throw it out, buy more high-quality yarn, and knit myself a new one. The problem with the old one is that moths got into both ends of it. I think I can cut off the eaten parts then restitch the ends of it. However, that will make the scarf several inches shorter. As I said, I’m still thinking about what I want to do with it.

Then I have sewing projects. SO MANY PROJECTS. I have a quilt that I’ve never finished. And a shirt to start and finish. And other things that I’m sure I’m forgetting at this point, because it’s been so long since I’ve had the brain space to do anything more than just survive.

However, it is the cold season, and now is the time when I do a lot of nesting and sewing. Baking as well—I may have to make cookies at some point this holiday season. Though making truffles has been a thing as well. I have a mold for making chocolates as well, and I would like to try that. It will be messy and time consuming, so I haven’t been up for it yet. Maybe sometime this week.

So that’s what I’ve been up to in terms of crafting things.

What are you crafting? What’s a project that you’re either working on, or have finished recently?
