Weight inched up a bit. I am not surprised. I over ate twice last week, and I though I did A LOT it wasn’t enough to offset what I ate.

Can’t outrun your fork, as it were.

I may try fasting for a day this week, just to get things moving in the right direction again.

I also had a few nights of not great sleep. It was a combination of hormones and situation (my kitty was sick the early part of last week and I slept tense, listening for her). One of the things that I’ve noticed during this time of trying to lose weight is that the weeks where the scale goes down tend to be the weeks when I slept the best. I know that’s what conventional wisdom says, and right now, I’m seeing it apply to me.

I averaged almost 8000 steps per day, so not horrible.

I wrote every day, even though somedays it was a very small word count. I just keep telling myself that those words add up. Plus, I accounted for this time in my annual word count numbers.

I owe people email! I’m falling behind on it terribly right now. Hopefully, at the end of the week I’ll be able to take a breath and catch up.

I’ve had a lot of new people sign up for my newsletter recently. Not all at once, but a constant slow trickle. It’s been kind of awesome. So hello, if you’re new.

One of the things I wanted to mention is that I have a Patreon!

It was originally conceived as a travelogue, as it were. I had trips planned, once a month, every month, for fifteen months in a row.

Then 2020 happened. All my plans got canceled.

I floundered for a bit, trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I’ve changed around the levels so they’re more indicative of what I’m sending out.

One of the things I’m still doing is sending out postcards and the occasional trinket to people. I’ve been told by more than one of my Patreons that they really like the post cards. I think it’s nice getting something in the mail on a regular basis.

So if you’re feeling as though you want to show your appreciation of an independent artist, you might want to consider subscribing to my Patreon.

And…I think that’s it. Going to go and try to find the start of a new short story. Then it’s back to work on the construction. Fingers crossed, all the major things will be done by Wednesday of next week. Then it’s just finishing touches…

What project are you close to completion on? Or just starting?
