Weight has stayed the same, even though I walked a lot more last week. I keep hoping it’ll just disappear without any effort, despite knowing better.
I missed a couple of days of email last week. That’s okay. I had a LOT going on, and there was only so much I could do on those days.
I wrote a little over 7000 words last week, so averaging 1000 words per day. Pretty good given the week I had last week. We’ll see what I manage this week. At the start of the year, when the construction really kicked in, I had planned on only writing 500 words per day. As that starts this week, we’ll see what I manage to do.
I walked more last week. A lot more. I averaged 7000 steps per day. My knee is sore as a result. But it isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
That’s kind of been the theme the last few days. I’m tired, stiff, and sore from all the things that I did last week. This week, I’m going to end up doing a lot more. But I’m less worried about it, given how well I’ve been recovering.
I think there are a few things that are helping with this. One is the testosterone. I’m actually able to build muscle now. That makes a tremendous difference when it comes to all the physical activity that I’ve been doing. I am able to spring back a lot faster as a result.
I’ve also started taking LCLT (L-Carnitine, L-Tartrate) every day. L-carnitine is an amino acid widely available in supplement form and often marketed as a weight loss aid. Produced naturally in the body, L-carnitine transports fat to cells in order to produce energy.
As I’ve been more focused on being in ketosis recently, the LCLT gives me a lot more energy. That means that even on days like today, when I’m tired, I’ll be able to get through the day without destroying myself.
One last thing – I’m taking aspirin every day, along with Tylenol. (I can’t take Ibuprofen.) Aspirin reduces the swelling, and Tylenol reduces the pain. I know that it isn’t the greatest thing for me to be doing every day. I actually stopped for a few days a couple of weeks ago. My knee swelled up and turned into one great big ball of pain.
So I’m going to continue to take aspirin and Tylenol every day until after I get my knee fixed. Still waiting on the records transfer to take place…will call them yet AGAIN today to see if I can move the process along. *le sigh*
Later this morning, the construction crew arrives! Honestly, I’m both excited as well as slightly anxious about it. But I know that not only is it going to be fine, it’s going to be awesome.
What about you? What project is giving you mixed feelings this week?
