Yay! Yay! Huzzah!

The final book in the Forgotten Gods trilogy is now available!

I had so much fun writing these books. I love the world and I love the myths.

All of the books have an appendix that talks about the various gods and contains the creation myth for all the Peoples. (Of course, each People has their own creation myth. That was what I wrote first.)

These books were written pretty much 100% into the dark. I had no idea what was going to happen next. That was a big part of the fun for me.

But when the theme of myths, and what we learn from the myths of our forefathers came up, I started thinking about the myths that would be told about the events described in these books. These books take place in what some of the characters call the third age. What are the myths that the fourth age tells about their predecessors?

As I wrote “A Sea Washed Victory” I would get ideas about these myths, and I would jot them down. I didn’t write out the myths until after I finished the last novel. I just considered that appendix part of the last chapter.

There was one that changed radically from the initial concept – the myth called, “The School.” I had thought it was one character who would be associated with the school But it wasn’t. He turned out to have a different arc, and it was Gan Ou who runs the school.

Anyway. I hope you enjoy these books and these myths as much as I did writing them!

Here’s the blurb:

Smoke still wreathes the air above the Wind People’s capital. Daily, the Wind People battle the Stone People.

And losing territory with every skirmish.

Other forces converge in the lands of the Bone People, a force that they feared to awaken.

The tide turns slowly, however.

Will the Wind, Stone, and Sea People be able to reclaim their lands? Or has the war gone on too long and tainted their souls?

“A Sea Washed Victory” – the third and last book of the books of the Forgotten Gods – shows the Peoples paying the price, not just for their eventual victory, but the price of healing as well.

Be sure to read the first two books in this powerful, epic dark fantasy trilogy: “A Wind Blown Torment” and “A Stone Strewn Clash.”
