Lost more weight last week, so I’m back to my pre-Vegas weight. Just have holiday weight to lose. I haven’t been counting calories, just doing my usual meals but with a lot more exercise thrown in.
I had hoped to get more days of 10K steps than I did, but the end of last week wasn’t great. Friday was a bad day, Saturday was a recovery day. Then Saturday night, Blaze and I went to a coffee shop to use someone else’s internet for some heavy lifting.
I know I ordered a decaf Americano. The barista even said it was decaf when she put it on the counter. However, I was remarkably less tired after drinking it. Then, I couldn’t sleep. Didn’t fall asleep until 1:30 AM. Woke up at 5 and couldn’t get back to sleep. So Sunday was kind of a wash. I didn’t try to get in 10K steps, not when I was so physically exhausted.
Slept better last night, but am still really tired. We’ll see if I manage 10K today or not.
The LCLT (a supplement I take for more energy) did nothing for me on Friday. Sunday, it gave me a really nice boost of energy and I was able to do a lot of things until I suddenly hit the wall Sunday evening.
Took it again this morning – we’ll see if it helps.
Finished a short story last week. I have two more that I need to write this week, that both have a March 1 deadline. Then I’m moving over to the next novel.
For those of you following along at home, I’d started a short story last week that ended up not being a short story, but a novel. Wrote up a novel proposal for it and started a different story. I need to do some research for the novel before I start it, but I’m excited about it.
I received some bad news last week. Nothing I want to go into. But it was quite a gut punch. Spent a good half a day really depressed. What was nice was that by the morning, I was better. I’m an eternal optimist, and even though I remain disappointed, I’m positive that next time will be better. (^_^)

What has made you sad recently? (No politics please, though I understand that’s enough to bring anyone down.) What helped? I went to the gym that night and lost myself in an excellent story for a while. Breaking out of the sadness helped me.
