Just a quick blog this morning as I’m getting a really slow start this morning.

Went out to lunch with one friend yesterday, then went out to dinner with two other friends. Ate way too many carbs, and have been paying for it this morning with a sugar hangover. Headache, brain fog, inflamed, yada. Ugh.

Not that I would necessarily make different choices if I had to do it all again… The food and the company was lovely. (^_^)

This morning I just couldn’t get my brain into writing gear. Fortunately, I had my sweetie’s comments from the short story I wrote last week, and I folded those in this morning. Though it took a couple of hours, my brain is finally engaged and I can now return to the novel.

Today is my last day in Seattle. I did update all of the books on IngramSpark that were brought over from Createspace. I’m really glad I did. For most of the books, the series information wasn’t brought over. Frequently, the title would be cut off. Also, a few books had the description truncated. So while it was a lot of work, it was necessary.

I didn’t get all the books uploaded that we’re on my list. I did get the first four, which were the most important ones. Part of the problem was that I wasn’t as prepared as I needed to be. I hadn’t regenerated the books with the new ISBNs, I hadn’t updated the covers as necessary, etc. So it ended up taking me a lot longer to upload every book because I had a lot of work to do in them first.

During the next few weeks, I’ll be updating all the parts of the books that need to be uploaded so that I can just spend an afternoon in the library just uploading them at some point.

The other reason why I didn’t get all the work done was because I felt lousy for part of the time while I was here. Fortunately, I kind of knew this might happen going in. I’ve also had a lot of experience now forgiving myself for being human and having what I consider a chronic condition. My hope is that at some point this year, my cycle will actually STOP and all my hormones will settle down some. We’ll see.

I hope that you’re having a lovely Friday! Got any great weekend plans? Share them! (Assuming that today is your Friday – I know that for people who work in retail, Friday is rarely their actual “Friday”.)
