It looks like MN or WY outside outside, that thin blue in the sky reflecting the deep purple shadows of the snow — very pretty, and very cold.

There’s supposed to be another huge storm coming tonight. They’re predicting snow, high winds, power outages, etc. As bright and clear as it is right now it’s hard to believe they’re right. I still have a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach, from my belief in inverse proportion: the nicer it looks this morning, the worse the storm will be this afternoon.

I honestly hope it’s much ado about nothing. There’s very little I can do to prepare for it, except make sure that I have enough food for the next couple of days as I’m supposedly flying to Mpls on Monday.

I will be working on the day job most of the day today, as well as tomorrow, and Monday, and everyday up to Xmas. All other writing has been stalled between being sick, day job, and holiday stress. I know I must finally be getting better as I find I want to write again. A little blogging along the way will just help to keep the airways open.

  1. It’s nice to hear from you again. And I recognize what you’re describing in your first paragraph. Yeah!

During the hour we were in the gym, the temperature dropped noticeably. And it continues to get cloudier out there.

    • Yeah, all the sunshine is gone. The clouds at first were more white, now they’re turning that storm gray color. I have soup for lunch, spaghetti for dinner, and DVDs to watch should the cable go out. They’ve postponed the snow until later this evening in the forecasts, instead of this afternoon. But according to the doppler radar it’s already snowing out in Kent. . .
