Stuff

I’ve come down with a mild cold. I have mild congestion and a really bad sore throat. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow for other stuff — will have her check to see if it’s streph while I’m there.

One of the things that I discovered tonight — Coconut Bliss frozen dessert. It’s like ice cream made from coconut milk. OMG it’s good. If you like coconut you should try it. I just tried the dark chocolate and I really liked it a lot.

I finished typing up chapter 13, and am about halfway finished with chapter 14. I’ve plotted out chapter 15, and I’m really excited about moving forward. However, see above. Being sick means no brain which means no writing. I’m hoping that I’ll feel well enough to start writing again tomorrow.

The BodyBugg continues to teach me things that I didn’t realize about myself. Because of this knowledge, I think I’ll be able to get even more healthy. Once I’m no longer sick. *G*

  1. You’re the second person on my flist to drool over that stuff…I tried it recently with a friend and we were kinda disappointed. Actually, I was really disappointed considering it’s cost. I thought the coconut flavor was way too overpowering (and we got the coffee variety, which you would think would overpower anything else). I also thought that, while it had an okay texture, it was a bit too airy and “icey”. I appreciate how environmentally-friendly it is, blah blah blah…but I just wasn’t a fan. Or maybe I just don’t want coconut to get in the way of my coffee.

IMO, Double Rainbow soy ice cream (which is almost impossible to find around here) is the reining champ, and then Wholesoy frozen soy yogurt coming in second. For something with so little fat it has a wonderful, creamy mouthfeel. That one is my “everyday” dessert, because it really does compare nutritionally to regular soy yogurt, NOT ice cream, but it tastes like ice cream. I would like to know when Wholesoy starts marketing cake.

When I want to go whole hog with fat and fun flavors, Turtle Mountain’s (who make So Delicious spy ice cream) “Purely Decadent” line is a close replacement for the hard-to-find Double Rainbow.

There’s a guy I’ve seen in Spinning all three times I’ve gone so far (he must go to every class because I’ve gone at 3 different times on 3 different days) that wears a BudyBugg. He’s in crazy shape and if we were on real bikes I think he’d be blowing everyone else out of the water. I want to see his readings!

    • There’s only one problem with all your recommendations — I’m allergic to soy. While they might be good, better even than the Coconut Bliss, they’d make me really sick.

As for me — the thought of coconut in my coffee isn’t appealing. But I really like chocolate and coconut, so that might be one of the reasons why I found this flavor to be so tasty. The chocolate was rich enough that I didn’t merely taste coconut, though it was heavily flavored with it.
