I took my time this morning, goofing off, taking it easy. As a result, I figure I only did a couple thousand words today on chapter five. But I thought a lot as well. That story that I thought was an independent thing? It just became the prologue for the second book in this series. And I know how it all connects now. I know the sacrifices this character is willing to make.

I also wrote a couple of lines today that just sent chills down my spine. The plot and all the subplots are starting to come together nicely. It may all still seem like a sprawling mess under some (most) lights, but I’m starting to see at least a few of the threads leading into and out of the chaotic, tangled middle.

I’m upping my estimated written:typed ratio. I have 11 1/2 pages written, I figure that’s about 2000 words typed.

Tomorrow? More of the same. Such a thrilling life, I know!

      It *is* a fabulous feeling. I thought of more of the plot for the next two novels today, and realized that some of what I wrote in the prologue, without realizing it, fits fantastically into the next two novels, which caused more shivers.
