I finished typing up the Topiary story this morning. It was interesting to me to note that the start of the story required a lot of rewriting as I typed it in, mainly in the form of adding details and information. The end of the hand-written version was much more complete. Though I know I was tired at the end, I think I was also really in the zone when I wrote it.
My short story “Slow Honey” was rejected again this morning. So I read through it one more time, adjusted a few more things, and sent it back out. I also checked out a few markets — I’m thinking that some of the shorter, “flash fiction” pieces that I’ve already finished could be submitted a couple of places (I hadn’t thought that there would be markets for it — but it turns out I was wrong.)
And happy birthday to the lovely kaygo! I hope you have a lovely day.
